In the shade of Constantiaberg lies the well-known Steenberg, a Cape Dutch farmstead and five-star Hotel., where I have been commissioned to manufacture and restore various pieces of hardware. This was my second project for Graham Beck Wines and one of my biggest at that stage.

Under the watchful eyes of Lin and Kim Mehmel three of the suites were completely refurbished, representing three time periods in our country’s history, namely the Khoi-Khoi, Dutch East India Company and Cape Colonial eras.

It was great working with this formidable team and certainly one of my most fulfilling projects.
